USW Local 9705 has mergered with two other Steelworker locals in the region.

Workers at Teck Trail operations are now members of USW Local 480.

Workers at Red Resorts, KSCU, KIS, Sandman hotel, KC Recycling, and Waneta plaza are now members of USW Local 1-405.
